Saturday, March 28 - 10:00am Join us for a great day of hiking as we enjoy an adventurous excursion into the Superstition Mountains on the Peralta Trail to see cacti, critters and the landmark Weavers Needle. Eat a hearty breakfast, bring sturdy tennis shoes, a sack lunch and a water bottle. Sunscreen and a hat are also recommended.
It is not an easy hike... but most international students make it all the way to the top. You can also just stroll on the trail through the Sonoran Desert making new friends as you enjoy the plants and animals.
After the hike we are all driving to Professor Paul & Linda Steinbart's home for a terrific home-cooked meal. Located on the base of the Superstition Mountains, it has terrific view of the city lights, and our time will also include a bonfire and games.
There's no cost for the event, with transportation provided from the ASU Tempe Bookstore, departing promptly at 10:00am. We anticipate returning to Tempe at 7:30pm
PLEASE NOTE: We will have a professional videographer with us to film the event for ISI purposes.
